Notes: Written for the comment_fic prompt by tiptoe39: SPN, girl!Sam, it's hard to get laid when you're 6'3" in flats. (Hopefully it's what you're looking for, tiptoe39!)

Being tall had its perks at first, back when she and Dean were still in school. Dean hadn’t had his own growth spurt yet so Sam towered over him, used that height to hold things out of her older brother’s reach. It was easier to beat up the girls that picked on her, too, when all she had to do was hold them at arm’s length and they couldn’t land a single blow.

For any positives in Sam’s life, the negatives were usually much worse. Height was great, yes, but no guy wanted to date a girl as tall, or sin of all sins, taller than him. Sam had a few guy friends, but they were all part of her after-school science club. Dean threatened to disown her if she even considered dating one of ‘those geeks’. So Sam spent her teen years single and nose deep in books. Even once she had a huge row with her father and her resulting exodus to California to go to Stanford, the open minded men of Palo Alto still wouldn’t touch her with a ten foot pole.

And then Jesse came into the picture. Jesse wasn’t very tall, barely reached 5’6”, but he had a thing for tall girls and Sam was the tallest he’d met. They began dating and Sam was in heaven. She was finally able to feel like she was one of the girls, able to gossip with her friends and coo over how sweet her boyfriend was. She and Jesse moved in together during her final year of pre-law and Sam honestly thought that this was it; the life she’d always dreamed about was nearly in her grasp.

Dean showed up and dragged her out to find her missing father, and everything went to shit.

As she sat in the ambulance and stared at the charred second floor remains of the house she shared with Jesse, Sam’s dream life crumbled and died a quiet death. Dean sat next to her, strength to lean against. She didn’t blame Dean for Jesse’s death, not really, because even if he hadn’t shown up and pulled her away from her boyfriend, what could she have possible hoped to have done against the demon, especially after being away from hunting for four years?

After Jesse’s funeral, Sam stood in front of his headstone and stared until Dean jingled his keys in front of her face and she followed him back to the Impala. Sam could tell that Dean was uneasy around her; her brother always had a weakness for teary-eyed girls and Sam had used that to her advantage when they were younger. She waited patiently, knowing he’d crack sooner or later and let her know what was on his mind. It came just as they were passing the California-Nevada border.

Over the unusually quiet sounds of the radio, Dean let out a small nervous chuckle. It was uncharacteristic enough for Sam to look over at him. “You know,” Dean licked his lip and glanced at her, “there’ll be other fish in the sea, Sammy.”

It took her a moment to realize that Dean was trying to comfort her in his own way. She stared at him long enough to make him squirm, and then shook her head. “It’s not that easy, Dean.”

“Sure it is! I mean, it’ll be a while until you feel comfortable hooking up with a guy, but you can survive a small dry spell, right? It’s not like he was the one who took your virginity, right? I know how you girls like to feel like the guy to do it with you the first time is ’the one’.” Dean shuddered like he was thinking about a bad memory. Sam stayed silent and turned to look out her window again. “Sam? He didn’t take your virginity, right?”

“Not that it’s any of your business, Dean, but no, Jesse didn’t take my virginity.”

“Good, I’d hate to think that my sister went twenty-three years without sex, only for the first guy she slept with die. That’d be a shitty track record,”

Sam rolled her eyes. Her continued silence seemed to tip Dean off to what the problem was.

“…You have had sex, right? Sam?”

Sam tried to keep a frown on her face as she looked at Dean again, but she could feel her cheeks warming. “I was waiting until we got married. Jesse understood that and never pressured me.”

“Right, nice guy. You sure he wasn’t cheating on you?”

“He kept dropping hints that he was going to propose to me. I’m pretty sure he was going to ask after my interview.”

“…Oh. Sorry.”

Sam watched her brother as he concentrated on the road ahead of him. It was only a matter of time before…

“You’ve seriously never had sex? What kind of guys are you dating?”

“Jesse was the first guy I ever managed to get to agree to a date, Dean. Most guys are intimidated by a girl who’s 6’3” in flats.”

“Well, then they’re idiots. I slept with plenty of tall chicks. They’re obviously too blind to see how pretty you are.”

“Well aren’t you the sweetest thing since sugar. You better quit with the comfort before you get a cavity, Dean. Or worse, your dick drops off.”

The lighting was bad, but Sam swore Dean’s cheeks were a little pink.

“Shut up, bitch.”

So while Sam and Dean traveled around the country, killing monsters and saving people, and then killing demons and fighting off angels, Dean slept with as many women as possible and Sam stayed celibate. It baffled her older brother, but she wasn’t bothered by her lack of action. She couldn’t miss what she never had, after all.

And then the Trickster, who turned out to be the archangel Gabriel and had a borderline unhealthy obsession with Sam, decided to join their side of the apocalypse and became part of Team Freewill. Sam found out quickly what she’d been missing all these years.

LOL OMG YAY. This was great.

So Sam didn't sleep with guy!Ruby then? lol? Or was Ruby a girl so Sam figured it didn't count?? lmao forever. <3 the possibilities are endless.

Gotta love it, seriously. Thank you so much for this made-of-win fic!! I adored!

Acutally, I sort of forgot/really hate Ruby, so that's why she wasn't mentioned. I think Ruby as a girl is the only way to go, though, so option B: doesn't count with a girl, is what I'm going with. :3

Glad you liked it. It was tons of fun to write. If I'd had more time before work, I wouldn't have rushed the ending so much. Maybe I'll write a longer version this weekend.

...I'll let you know if I do.

...I think the idea of Gabriel as Sam's first time just broke my brain a little bit. In the best way.
